Research Article
A Unifying Theory of Alzheimer’s and Other Neurodegenerative Diseases

The author proposes the Pr2 theory, in which neurodegenerative diseases are read as network insufficiencies: neural subnetworks selected over evolutionary time for performance rather than durability, and so exposed to antagonistic pleiotropy. Pr2 is the author’s proposed framework, offered as a way of explaining observations and of directing the research that would test it.
Case Report
The Initial Result Of The First Living Donor Lung Transplantation Case In Vietnam

This 2018 case report describes a living-donor lung transplantation performed in Vietnam and reports the patient’s course over the following twelve months. It is a single historical case in one center, reported for the course it documents.

Publishing and review
How manuscripts are handled
- Open access. Articles appear under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, and authors retain copyright.
- Peer review. Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
- Editorial decisions. Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
- Article processing charge. The charge is payable after acceptance and is set out on the journal's Article Processing Charges page.
