What the journal publishes

Farming research, reported so it can be used

Work is considered on how well it is done and reported, not on the size of the effect it finds. The journal asks for the conditions of a study — site, season, system, variety or class of stock, treatments and measurements — to be reported as carefully as its result, so a reader can judge where the finding applies.

Aims and Scope is the authoritative statement of what the journal considers.

Who handles the work

Manuscripts are handled by an editorial board of 5 researchers working in 3 countries, across agricultural economics and policy, crop cultivation and farming systems, animal feeding, and agronomy with remote sensing and sustainability.

Each member is listed with their affiliation, country and research areas on the Editorial Board page.

Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.

Submitting to the journal

All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review.
