Indexing and Discovery Journal of Peptides

The journal’s records are exposed for harvesting over OAI-PMH 2.0 from the Open Access Pub repository at openaccesspub.org/oai. Journal of Peptides is the set journal:peptides, and every published record in the journal is listed in it.

Any aggregator, library discovery layer or repository service that harvests OAI-PMH can therefore collect this journal’s metadata directly. Harvesting is a route by which a service can obtain records; it is not itself a statement that any particular service has included them.

Every article page publishes structured bibliographic metadata in the form discovery services read: journal title and abbreviation, article title, authors and their institutions, publication date, volume, issue, first and last page, language and keywords. The full text is openly readable, and the PDF and XML of each article are linked from its page.

This is what makes an article findable and citable by a service that chooses to index it. Whether a given service has done so is a matter for that service’s own records.

Selective databases assess journals against their own criteria and on their own schedules. The services this page lists are those currently verified for Journal of Peptides; as further services confirm inclusion, they will be added here with the date the status was checked.

Two things are worth keeping apart when reading any journal’s indexing page. Metadata harvesting and identifier registration are infrastructure, available to a journal as a matter of course. Selective journal-level indexing is an editorial assessment made by a database. They are different claims, and this page reports them separately.

This is a route available to an individual author for an individual manuscript. Depositing a manuscript this way places that article in PubMed Central; it is a property of the article, not of the journal.
