How this journal’s articles are identified, found and kept
Identifiers, metadata, discovery and preservation are four different things. This page states what the Journal of Digestive Disorders and Diagnosis has in place for each.
They are listed separately because they are often conflated. A registered identifier is not an index; metadata distribution is not selective coverage; preservation is neither.

Journal identifier
The journal is registered under ISSN 2574-4526, which identifies the title itself.
Article identifiers
The publisher registers article DOIs with Crossref under the prefix 10.14302. A registered DOI resolves to the article page and keeps resolving if an address later changes.
An identifier records what a thing is and where to find it. It is not a statement that any database has selected the journal for coverage.

Article metadata
Each article page publishes structured bibliographic metadata — title, authors, affiliations, journal, ISSN, volume, issue, pages, publication date, DOI and keywords — in the form that bibliographic services read.
Each article is also available as a full-text XML deposit and as a typeset PDF, so the record can be read, cited and processed by machines as well as people.
Rights
Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), and authors retain copyright. The license permits reuse with attribution, which is what allows the record to be copied into other services at all.

Journal-level indexing
Selective databases evaluate a journal as a whole and decide whether to cover it. That decision belongs to the database, on its own criteria and timetable.
This section lists the selective databases that have confirmed coverage of this journal, and it is updated when a confirmation is received. Authors evaluating the journal should treat this list as the complete position.

Preservation and funder deposit
Digital preservation
This journal’s content is committed to Portico, a not-for-profit digital-preservation archive run by ITHAKA (the organization behind JSTOR). As articles are deposited they enter Portico’s permanent archive, so the scholarly record stays available for the long term — even if a title one day ceases to publish.
Funder deposit
Eligible NIH-funded manuscripts may be deposited individually in PubMed Central through the NIH Manuscript Submission System (NIHMS).
This route deposits one manuscript at a time, on behalf of an eligible author. Coverage of the journal as a whole is a separate decision, taken by each database on its own criteria and listed in the section above.
