Indexing and discovery
How the journal's articles are found and kept
Each entry below is a distinct service. Registering an identifier, depositing a DOI, exposing metadata for harvesting, and being selected for a curated database are four different things, and this page keeps them apart.
Identifiers
What identifies the journal and its articles
Journal identifier
ISSN 2642-9241
The journal is registered with an International Standard Serial Number, which identifies the title itself in library systems and citation records.
DOI registration
Crossref
Every article carries a Digital Object Identifier under the prefix 10.14302, registered with Crossref and resolving to the article on this site. A DOI is a persistent link and a deposit of metadata; it is a registration service, not a form of indexing.
Metadata harvesting
OAI-PMH
The journal's records are exposed through the publisher's Open Archives Initiative interface at openaccesspub.org/oai, so aggregators and library discovery systems can harvest article metadata directly.
Discovery
How readers find the articles
Discovery services
Scholarly search metadata
Each article page publishes the structured citation metadata that scholarly search services read — title, authors, journal, ISSN, volume, issue, pages, publication date and DOI, alongside links to the full text and the deposited XML.
Publishing that metadata makes an article eligible to be picked up. Whether a given service lists it, and when, is decided by that service.
Selective indexing
Curated database inclusion
Inclusion in a selective, curated database is assessed by that database against its own criteria and on its own schedule. The services confirmed for this journal are the ones named on this page.

Preservation
Keeping the record available
Digital preservation
Portico
This journal’s content is committed to Portico, a not-for-profit digital-preservation archive run by ITHAKA (the organization behind JSTOR). As articles are deposited they enter Portico’s permanent archive, so the scholarly record stays available for the long term — even if a title one day ceases to publish.
Funder deposit
NIH Manuscript Submission System
Eligible NIH-funded manuscripts may be deposited individually in PubMed Central through the NIH Manuscript Submission System (NIHMS).
That route deposits an individual manuscript. It is separate from journal-level inclusion in PubMed, MEDLINE or PubMed Central.
