Regular submissions are accepted throughout the year. Choose one of the three submission routes below; each reaches the same editorial office and the same review process.

Pre-submission checklist

- Manuscript fileMicrosoft Word, double-spaced, 12-point font, within the limits for the article type.
- Title pageAll authors and affiliations, corresponding author contact details, and conflict-of-interest disclosures.
- Abstract and keywordsA structured abstract and 4–6 keywords.
- Figures and tablesFigures of at least 300 dpi as separate TIFF, JPEG, or EPS files; editable tables with clear headings.
- DeclarationsConflicts of interest, funding sources, industry partnerships, and a data-availability statement for empirical research.
- ApprovalsEthics approvals, consent statements, trial registration, and regulatory documentation where they apply.
- AuthorshipEvery author meets the authorship criteria and has approved the final manuscript.
- Double-blind requestsFor double-blind review, remove author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, funding details, institution names, and other identifying information from the reviewer manuscript. Provide identifying information separately in the title-page file or submission form.

Review and publication terms
- Screening
- All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review.
- Review model
- Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
- Similarity
- Similarity reports are assessed in context by the editorial team, including the nature, extent, and attribution of overlapping material.
- Decisions
- Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal. Decisions remain independent of fees, services, memberships, and editorial roles.
- Fees
- The article processing charge is USD 1,499, invoiced upon acceptance.
- License
- Articles are published under CC BY 4.0, and authors retain copyright.
