Four things to confirm first
- The peptide is central to the contribution — Aims and Scope.
- The manuscript is prepared as the journal asks — Instructions for Authors.
- You have read the terms that apply on acceptance — Article Processing Charges.
- Ethics, competing interests, funding and data availability are covered — Editorial Policies.
Accepted formats are Research Article, Review Article (including systematic reviews), Methods Article, Data/Resource Article, and Short Communication. Editorial and Perspective/Commentary are by invitation only.

Authors must use only one submission route for the same manuscript.
After you submit
What happens next
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review. Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal. The article processing charge arises only after acceptance, and it has no bearing on the decision.
